I am making a new website devoted to no budget horror making. I will have different tips and techniques for making the best out of nobudget.

If there is anyone who would like to share stories or tips for nobuget horror or general film making please reply here or email me at halloween6procut@hotmail.com

Thanks

Interesting, but given the wide range of topics discussed here, are you sure it won't be a little redundant? I like horror, but we discuss it and sci-fi applications of FX here quite a bit.

Any ideas on making it unique or including aspects that aren't already covered here or elsewhere?

I want to give the nobudget horror film maker every option available to make a decent movie for less. I have been on many different websites that have had tips on horror making with nobudget but when they talk about budgets they are talking about fifty thousand or more(shot on video). I want to show people that it is possible to shoot a horror movie on a nobudget a thousand dollars or less. I want to have as much information and links that there will be no question in the mind of the film maker that it can be done.

Well, it certainly can be done. That's a really tight budget, and hard to get something projectable with. You can make a movie with it if it is intended to go right to VHS for home viewing.

Personally, I'd like a SPFX Make Up budget of a least a Grand for a horror picture if there is to be much in the way of FX beyond some fake blood flying.

If you are commited to the idea of working under a thousand, you might want to consider a snappy title playing off of that:
"Simply Grand Films - A site dedicated to projects with a budget below $1,000."
OR
"The UGH Film Forum - Under a Grand Horror Movies"

Any other ideas, people?
