Hey man. Not too bad. The pencil IS a nice (however strange) touch. Just one thing that bothered me. It seemed to me like you used WAY too much blue for the eyes. It should have been more of a redish-purle. But otherwise, good job. I like the hair. Did you use spray, or flour?------------------ "May the Force be with you." Ok first off i like the base, and the loose flesh on the cheek. I also like the pencil.... the only think that struck me about it was i think the majorly black area around the eyes cheapened it a little bit... my answer.... use less black makeup... use a little and smear it more for a more realistic lookin look..... just my opinion but like i said i like it all..... except for the eyes i didn't care much for...... but still very good work------------------ Basically, I'm gonna walk the earth. You know like Kane in Kung Fu just walk from town to town, meet people, get into adventures, until GOD puts me where HE wants me to be. And if it takes forever, I'll wait forever. slighty reworked verse from PULP FICTION |

It was alright. I didn't see what was so great about the pencil. The pointy end was coming out on the wrong angle to how the rubber end goes in (if you get what I'm saying.)

not too bad, i like the hair. But it could use a little more detail like the sharpened end that comes out of the cheek should ve reeeally bloody because it went through his face and a little less black near the eyes. I'm not a makeup artist or anything so mabe i shouldn't be giving advice...merf, heres my pics so far my mask: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1022473&a=7541837&p=37036480&Sequence=0&res=high[/ URL] another view of my mask: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1022473&a=7541837&p=37036479&Sequence=0&res=high[/ URL] quickie makeup job: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1022473&a=7541837&p=37036478&Sequence=0&res=high[/ URL] Fake zombie head that will take a rocksalt shotgun blast: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1022473&a=7541837&p=37036477&Sequence=0&res=high[/ URL] ------------------

It looks like the type of makeup that someone would do on Halloween , but it really isn't suitable for a Film. I strongly suggest that you buy "Dick Smith's Do It Yourself Monster Makeup Book" to learn the basics of makeup before attempting a makeup that represents something that is supposed to be scary. On the Net, You can find real pictures of dead people in all stages of decomposition. When you use black, it looks like a Void and not hollow skeletal eye sockets. For the skintone, instead of green, try mixing a flesh colored base with a little gray and some yellow to arrive at a realistic death color. You can also buy premixed death colors from several manufacturers. after the base is on, take that same base color and add a darker color into it to make it a few shades darker and draw the shape of the hollows around the eyes. You can use a picture of a human skull for reference. Use a q-tip to blend the makeup so it looks like a natural hollow. For detailing, I suggest the Ben Nye Effects Color Wheel in "Cuts and Bruises", Mix some of the Maroon with the Purple on a pallete and dip the brush in it and then tap it on the back of your hand so that there is hardly any color on the brush. What you want to do is create a mottled look rather than a flat base tone. For the lips, use the dark blue that comes in the color wheel and paint the lips with that, then dip you makeup sponge in the original base color that you used and go over it lightly. It makes it appear as if the rotting bruise color is under the skin rather than painted on lipstick. If you have any specific questions, you can email me and I can show you some examples. |
