For the latest - Terminal Haze, im playing with the idea of the fog turning people inside out SO, how might I go about this? i was thinking, maybe take a pre made latex mask flip it inside out so it looks all wierd and then soak it with blood & guts, or any other ideas? i dont have much to work with, im all outta latex and stuff so there isnt much to go with, needs 2 be done before friday.

I would start to think about using gelatin. You could color one batch red and one batch dark brown then pour the red over the actor's head and sculpt it with a spoon or a plastic butter knife. Then add some dabs of brown and streak it through the red. You could also soak some blue and purple yarn in gelatin and drape it over the red and brown gelatin that you already applied. Try to push it down into the red geletin. Try to make it look like veins. It could look pretty cool. Also, paint around your actors eyes with red and blue then feather the gelatin down around the eyes..

An inside out mask is going to look like a less detailed version of the mask with positive and negative areas reversed - nothig reotely like an "inside out" person.

Unflavored gelatin is an inexpensive false skin material, as mentioned above by morpherguy. If you work quickly and keep sculpting tools sitting in a cup of very hot water, you can sculpt the gelatin as it is solidifiying on the skin. The trick to using gelatin based skin is to make lots of small batches so you aren't racing against the clock as you are applying it.
