What everyone seems to forget is that once we look past race, religion, gender, and all that, everyone on this planet is first and foremost...
...a PERSON
I've seen prop "wood chopping" axes sold around halloween, but they were a bit on the small side. As crazy lou suggests, you may have to mold and cast your own.
If you can't find a big enough axe, see if you can buy a good sixed axe handle and sculpt a big, wicked axe head in plastecine clay, mold it, and cast it in latex or other flexible materials and glue it onto the handle.
