It seems that everything is hooked up correctly, but sound comes out only from my computer's speakers, and no sound comes from the capture card. This problem was found a while ago about a week before my film's deadline. I was able to temporarily solve the problem by having my computer's speaker output go to the VCR. This works, but not excellently. I don't want to keep doing it, but until this problem is fixed I have to. Does anyone know what may be going wrong? Tell me HOW it SHOULD be set up.. I may have something wrong. |

On a PC you go to Start menu>settings>control panel>multimedia click the playback tab and change it to MiroVIDEO DC30 plus or whatever card i forgot what it was that you had. I am sorry if this doesnt help you, beinga mac user, but maybe there is a similar playback control on a mac. i really dont know. good luck with the movies! |

Oh i am sorry you didnt say you were a mac user. i must have got that from another post. try this method, but make sure you change the settings BACK to your sound card after playing to tape or whatever. |

since you have a G3, you are obviously a mac user. well, if you cant find a volume control and the deadline is soon, you can hook a stereo 1/8 inch plug that splits into a left and right composite cables. you can buy this kindof converter at radio shack. plug the 1/8 inch to a line out jack (i am not sure wiht the G3, but most computer have them.)Taylor Mingos Innovative Productions |
