Ok i just ordered the Sony TRV 103!! Yippy. Now somthing no one anwsered is is there a video in and out? If not I will HAVE to use a firewire card, wont i, if it does not have a video out port. If so is the Digital Origin Intro DV anygood? I dont have the $500 for a great one. Also, if there is no video out how will i get my films onto standard VHS? Thanks guys, and stay tuned for my first "good" film, which we are shooting saturday! |

Also if the camera does have the A/V in/out should i still get the firewire card and not an analog and then just put it on tape by going from the camcorder to VCR? Also how come firewire cards are so damn cheap for macs. Sure Apple ivented it but PC stuff is always much cheaper, like a PCMCIA firewire card is 150 bucks for a mac! Is there aplace where i can get just he hardware? I already have premiere and after effects. That would save me some money. |

The TRV-103 has audio/video in/out and s-video in/out. All digital cameras have all of those because if they only came with IEEE-1394 then they would sell only half the amount of camcorders. You will not be able to export to VCR without analog out unless your VCR has FireWire(which I doubt). I think you should still go by all the replies to your FireWire question. |
