Okay, I just got the DC10+ and I'm not sure whether I'm going to keep it or not. As for you, it depends on what type of editing you'll be doing. The quality is very good for a card of its price, but I just don't like the fact that it is such a hassle to use with Adobe Premiere. If you'll just be doing simple editing (simple cuts with the occasional transition and title) then I'm sure that you'll be fine with the software that's included. However, if you're going to be doing the complicated stuff in Premiere (filters, lift extracts, motion, ect.), then it's not so easy. You have to capture through Studio, render the file as an AVI. Then goto Premiere, do all your editing there, when you're done, export your project as an AVI. Then you have to go back to Studio for export (I can export from Premiere but the quality isn't as good). If you have anymore question, e-mail me or post or something. However, I think you can't do much better than the DC10+ if you're only willing to spend $200. |
