Yes ummm, I want to get a capture card for my desktop. I would like to spend under $200 and
pci would be better.

if anyone has any suggestions, please reply, because I don't want to go out and spend a bunch of money and get a low quality card.

Thanks

Hmmm,
The only decent capture card under $200 is the DC10+ from Pinnacle. It's not the best card out there, but you won't do much better for only $200. It's capable of 640x480 capture with a data rate of 3:1 (this is applicable to professional SVHS, but I can't achieve it on my card). Personally, I think the supplied software is crappy and the card isn't exactly Adobe Premiere friendly. If you do get the DC10+, get AVI_IO off the net for capture, it's much more effiencient at capture than Studio. Hope I kinda answered you're question.

Bite the bullet and buy a Targa 2000 Pro.

I just ordered a miro DV500 yesterday. Heard they're sellin' like hotcakes. Got it and a nice package of software for $899. Comes with Premiere 5.1 RT!!!
