1. From the control panel, go to the Add/Remove Programs properties.
2. Select the 3dfx Tools and click "Add/Remove".
3. Once it is finished click "ok".
4. Restart the computer.
5. From the control panel, go to the display properties.
6. Click the "Settings" tab, and press the "Advanced" button (If they
are using Windows 95, it will either say "Advanced Properties" or "Change
Display Type")
7. Click the "Adapter" tab and click "Change".
8. Click next, select "Display a list", click "Next", and select "Show
all hardware".
9. Under the "manufactures" side, select "Standard Display Types", and
under "models" select "Standard Display Adapter".
10. Click next, tell it yes to the error message, click next, and click
Finish.
11. Click "Close" then click "Close" again.
12. Restart the computer.
13. Click "start", and click "Run".
14. Type "regedit" and click "ok".
15. Click "Edit" and click "find".
16. Type "3dfx" and click "Find next".
17. It will highlight what it finds.
18. Press the delete key, answer "yes", and press the "F3" key.
19. Repeat step 18 until it says "Finished searching the registry".
20. Close the registry editor.
21. Repeat steps 13 through 20 until it says, "finished searching the
registry" without finding anything.
22. Repeat steps 13 through 21 but search for the word "voodoo" instead
of "3dfx".
23. Repeat steps 13 through 21 but search for the word "glide" instead
of "3dfx".
24. Restart the computer.
25. Click "start" select "find", and select "Files or Folders".
26. On the named line type "3dfx*.*".
27. Make sure that the "look in" line is set to the "C:\" drive.
28. Click "Find now".
29. Click "Edit" and click "select all".
30. Press the delete key on the keyboard.
31. On the "named" line type "voodoo*.*" and click "Find now".
32. Click "Edit" and click "select all".
33. Press the delete key on the keyboard.
34. On the "named" line type "glide*.*" and click "Find now".
35. Click "Edit" and click "select all".
36. Press the delete key on the keyboard.
37. Close the Find window.
38. Restart the computer.
39. From the control panel, double click the "System" properties and
click the "Device manager" tab.
40. Click the plus sign next to "display adapters".
41. Select the "Standard display adapter" and click "Remove".
42. Click "Close".
43. Restart the computer.
It will now redetect the card. Please insert the CD and begin the
installation process as if it were new.
