I'm thinking of moving into the digital realms to create some of the effects I seem to want to do these days. I've got software like Premiere & after effects. What I need now is a "capture board".My budget is limited. I can't afford the Miro boards. I did read mixed reviews about the buzz when it came out here in the uk. Have any of you guys had any experience with it, good or bad, I want to know. It sells in this country now for only 135 quid, which I can afford. I await your responce. ------------------ I Thank You |

It's performance varies from crap, to really crappy, to really crappy crappy crappy....I think you get the picture. Some people have liked it, but from personal experiences, it was really bad.------------------ "V is for victory! Go tell your friends!" |

you could propably get it to work properly, as i have, but you could just safe some more money and get a real capture card. dont get me wrong, i like my Buz. but i guess its more wise to get a better card! |

What kind of card are you looking for? Analog or FireWire (a.k.a. Sony's i-link)? www.videoguys.com has 2 FireWire cards that are currently under $100. (I'm not sure what that translates into over in England) ADS Pyro, which costs $99, and Pinnacle's Studio DV, which also costs $99. Go and browse around that site for a while, they have a lot of info on capture cards.Hope that helps! Mr. Hutt [This message has been edited by Mr. Hutt (edited 03-23-2000).] |

Thanks guys. Well for now I want an analogue card that can do s-vhs/hi-8.Sounds like The buzz might be more trouble than its worth. Bye the look of pricing, it would probably be cheaper to fly out to the US, buy a card at your prices & stll have change out of 200 pound. Thanks again. ------------------ I Thank You |

Avoid that piece of junk, get yourself a matrox marvel g200 for £150 at Software Warehouse, does svhs hi8 etc.Really good quality also a good 3d card. If you can afford £200 go for the Marvel G400 |

It was good in it's time but now it's being way out done by other cards. Mine locks up my machine all the time. Go for the low-cost Pinnacles or something of that sort. |

of course most of you guys are talking about the PC version of the buzz. Which is NO LONGER made because it sucked so damn bad. BUT the Mac version works fine. Never had a single problem. I love my mac |
