Yeah, he's had a few posts this past week. Search for sausage and click on the link in his signature. It's a great beginners tutorial. |

I'm here.. I'm here. Sorry, I was snoozing.I guess you've found the one at my site, but the real archive is at Rash's tutorial links. Do a search through the archives because I mentioned it a few times before but don't have the link with me here. |

I found a pretty good one in the Rash's one too, Sausage but there are few things yours and it's did not explain. That's why I'm online now, to get some answers.1. Changing views. I'm doing a project (tutorial project) that requires me to click 7 which I do, make a circle then look at the circle after clicking 3. After clicking three, the only change in the view is that the circle no longer exists and when I click A to highlight it nothing happens. When I re-click 7 there it is, but not highlighted. 2. I need a circle with 12 vertices, but I cannot find the way to get 12 from the default 32, I click 32, but it only raises the number to 33 and so on. How do I lower it? Other then that, I'm getting used to the interface and to the way it operates. If you could answer these questions, Sausage, it would be greatly appreciated. ------------------ I once had 509 posts...but now I don't. |

hehehehe....The side of a circle, by it's very nature, is wafer thin. And when you look at it side on by pressing 3, yes, it's invisible. To get a better idea of what's going on: Press the Alt key and drag the left mouse around. The invisble shape will come into view as you tilt the playfield around. Let me know how you go. ------------------ Sausage's Lounge Area |

No, it doesn't come into view at all, even when I rotate it around a bit. The circle appears when I click 7 and ONLY when I click seven, I cannot select it with A on any other view.------------------ I once had 509 posts...but now I don't. |

Check to see if u have the zbuffer on (zkey) if its on the circle should be shaded. also check to see if you are in edit or object mode mode (tab key). To change the number of verticies your can click on left hand side of the vertices:xx button to lower the number or the right had side to make it higher, or hold down shift and click the button then you can enter in how many you want manually. I hope this helps, I am still learning how to use blender, i can't model to save my life Dale Jenner |

I worked out that vertices one myself, and must admit, I'm getting that tiny bit better at it. The only thing that still has me positivley stumped is the god damned view modes. When I put something in on seven it's on seven. It's nowhere else. Does it make any difference wether I click the seven on the num pad or not?------------------ I once had 509 posts...but now I don't. |

Reducing verticies, etc is not the problem, it's simpler than that. Felix, I think when you are switching view, you are still not seeing your object. Try rotating around again, but before you do, switch to the side view and press - on the keypad a few times to zoom out. Now rotate. Can you see it yet doing this? Otherwise it might be worth mailing me the .blend file and I'll check out where you're at. ------------------ Sausage's Lounge Area -- LAS welcomes Sausage to initiate status [This message has been edited by Webmaster Dale (edited 02-20-2001).] |

http://www.blender.nl im not sure of the system requirments but it should be in the faq on the support page. If you do download try and get 2.10 not 2.11, as 2.11 is only new and still a bit buggy. Dale Jenner |
