hi guys

I'm using preimere 5.1...and I just finished my short and I want to have scrolling credits at the end on the left side and while the credits are rolling. I would like to have the outtakes playing on the right.
can it be done? what I need to know is how.
I want the outtakes to be small in size.

Sure you can. Just make 3 tracks/layers. On layer 1 place a black matte, on layer 2 place the credits and on layer 3 place the outtakes. Now just right click on layer 2 and in the "Distortion" box make it so it takes up the left side of the screen (or just where ever you decide to place it) then do the same with layer 3 and place that so it's on the right side of the screen.

If you need more help let me know.

Another way would be to do a transition such as side or squeeze and hold it where you want it the whole time. (a side one would split the screen in half, squeeze would squeeze the screen so both will fit, althought distorted). But if you know how the matte would look better I think.

Okay, create a title decko with the credits running up the left hand side. Put this on the Video 1 layer.
On video 2 Put your out takes.
Then, to vid2 right click>video>motion. Then use the "zoom" to scale the footage down, so that it fits into a small box. Then use the X and Y to move the footage to the left hand side. (be sure to make the two default keyframes - start and end - the same!)

That should just about be it.
