I was updating my page a little, and then saved it, and it cut off the whole bottom code, so its just the top banner and the meta tag description. So is there anyway i can recover it? Cause the last time i backed it up on my computer it was like a month ago and there have been quite a few updates, I have since restored it to the Feb. 9 code, that i saved to my harddrive, so is it floating around somewhere on my harddrive? Is there anyway i can get it back? Thanks a million, free film for the person who helps me with it! Please if you know, reply with details

Try running scandisk and converting all free file fragments into files. Then open each of the .chk files with notepad. Maybe one of those is the saved file that somehow got messed up when saving.

tried that, but it just kept restarting, I wasnt saving to disk either, the problem was:
I was on angelfire, updating my page, when i was done updating i went to press the save button, all went fine, then i used the "View File" button to see the changes I had made, and once i did i noticed it only saved the little part i had updated (which was near the top of the page) and a few line that were saved (also near the top of the page). Later in the code it has all the images and stuff, and colors, and nav bars, but they for some reason were not saved, so what my problem is, I have a site, which now is missing everything! So I need to know what I can do with angelfire in order to recover my page, if there is some way out of the blue it is backed up automatically or something. Anybody know cause this sucks! I tried the scandisk idea, but with no luck. Please Please Pleaee help me! I will give you the codes or whatever you need in order to recover it! Thanks a gizillionm!

I'm sorry to say, but most likely you are out of luck. Services such as Angelfire provide free webspace, and the cost for keeping backups of random peoples stuff would be incredibly expensive. Also, I doubt they would take the time to go looking around these massive servers for one person. Although I could be wrong and some here might have a fix.

For future reference though, I'd do all your work on your computer using a program such as www.arachnoid.com and then use an FTP program to upload it.

Scandisk restarts if you keep using your computer. Leave it alone while it scans.

Also, it's a good idea to develop your site locally on your PC and then upload changes.
