Here are some more Strata 3D questions: I am texturing a buzz lightyear model for my little brother, and am trying to do the little stickers on his arms, chest, etc... When I try, it ends up covering the whole thing! How can I get it to go over just a little part?2. I am also trying to animate an armyman (plastic) and don't know how. I know how to make him move across the screen, etc, but not how to bend his arms and legs. Does anyone know how? Thanks! -Chase ------------------ "...but movies cost millions of dollars to make. I'm not sure if Strata supports bones. (Unless the guy's arms and legs are an IK heirarchy kinda deal) but I take it you're dealing with a solid object...so that wouldn't work. As for texturing, I could tell you, but unfortunately my sad computer barely crawls by when I try to run Strata 3D, which is a real shame because it's really a nice app. What you're probably doing wrong is, you're applying a texture to the entire segment of Buzz' body. What you need to do is find out of you can create like a decal (in Ray Dream Studio they're called "paint shapes") that you can apply to a selected shape on the surface of an object.Isaiah ------------------ Isaiah Eyre, Sound Guy "I don't know anything about music. I got the textures to work. What is an IK hierarchy? Can Ray Dream do bone animation? How much did you get it for? Thanks-Chase. P.S. i'll post the buzz model when I'm done. ------------------ "...but movies cost millions of dollars to make. IK = Inverse Kinematics. Basically you set up a structure where arms and legs correspond realistically. Each limb is linked. Personally, I really like Ray Dream Studio, but I would not recommend it for character animation. Hash A:M is probably the best "bang-for-your-buck" character animation program out there. It can do everything a normal 3D app can, but its specialty is character animation. Very impressive.Isaiah ------------------ Isaiah Eyre, Sound Guy "I don't know anything about music. Strata has a link tool, but that doesn't make you be able to bend the actual object(arm) I think with strata i could animate an arm if it was in two pieces Yeah, i found animation master 2001 version at $200, everyone who's used it says it rocks.-Chase ------------------ "...but movies cost millions of dollars to make.
