I have a TV card (not a capture card) and I get lots of frames dropped on full size captures (like 70% or something).
Do you think, if I upgraded to a cheap capture card I would get less/no frames dropped.
Sys: PR233, 32meg Ram, 20gig 5400rpm disk, win98, Modular Tech TV card.

I would look into a hell of a lot more ram, and a much faster hard drive. I am currently in the process of getting together the components for a system I plan to build and after doin some research, have found those two things to be far and again the most important. In fact, Adaptec just released news of a 320 SCSI drive, and yes that means 320 megs a second. Talk about working with full frames uncompressed! I just hope they dont cost as mush as a mid sized sedan.

All times are ET (US)
