Topic: how does premiere 5.1 export to video?

I just got my new sony dcr trv-120!!!!!!! I'm ecstatic. But the only DV editing software I have is iMovie. It's is not very sophisticated, but it captures and exports DV at an extremely hi quality. After I capture and edit and export footage to tape it looks just as good as the origional footage. I also have premiere 4.2. It doesn't do DV. When you click "print to video", it just plays the movie fullscreen, and I think you are supposed to copy it to tape via TV-Moniter mirroring. My question: Does premiere 5.1 export video to tape via mirroring or does it hook up directly to the camera and copy it onto the digital 8 tape? ------------------
