Has anyone tried to convert movie trailers in Quicktime format to AVI? Using Premier 5.1c, I only get the lower half of the movie displaying no matter what codec I use or what combination of fields, screen sizes, etc etc.

Has anyone had any success converting QT to AVI?

It works fine to me. I easily converted the Final Fantasy movie quicktime trailer into DivX without a problem. What's the specific problem?

As above, It converts ok but only th bottom half of the movie appears. The top half is cut off. Weird.

I've never personally had any problems doing this - I converted the Little Nicky trailer perfectly using Premiere. That's when I realised..

You can convert it using the quicktime player!! If you have the registered version, that is.

Allan.

Make sure your output settings are either the same, or some similar settings. If its a 320x240 .mov file, don't try and make it into a 720x480 DivX.

Yes I tried a variety of sizes, however, I would always get the QT source size and use that as my final output size.
