So, anyone know what's the best 3D Studio Max book out there? I don't mean the books made for professionals, I'm looking for one that will teach a beginner (me). Everything from the basics to the more complex. ------------------ MAKING A MOVIE: Make a movie that you would buy a ticket to see, and then pray millions of people agree with you www.thecliparchive.com |

Hep Hep. i would suggest doing a search for "3d Studio Max" on Amazon.com, cuz they always have fairly good reviews by readers wich gives you the best overview over usability. |

For stricly effects ( fire , water , explosions , rockets , etc. ) 3D studio max 2 Effects Magic ( I think they had one for max 3 , but I never got it . Seeing as how everything you can do in max 2 , you can do in max 3 ( in theory )) |

My old 2.5 book is stored away at the moment but i think it was a Sams one. Sams teach yourself 3dstudio Max 2.5 in 14 days. There are versions out for newer versions also nd they come with a cd with extra scripts etc. and a full range of tutorials with scenes for you to play around with.Chimp |
