Everytime I begin to Send and Recieve all messages, and that little task screen appears, as soon as it hits 'download messages from inbox' (I am using offline Hotmail) it says that there is an illegal operation and needs to be shut-down, I've had the hotmail account for weeks and this has never happened.

Something you have recently installed (perhaps MSN messanger service?) has screwed up outlook express.

No, that can't be it. I think my ISP was screwing with me for a while, I haven't been able to properly log on for about two days.

Of course, I have no idea WHAT this means, but it may be able to help someone tell me what's going on. It's what it says when I press the "Details" box of the "Illegal Operation" box.

Its just a bunch of crap from windows....i suggest you re-install windows.
