Okay, I have been talking a lot lately about my animated Roman trailer I need to do for a school project. I am using 3D studio max r3, and I need some Roman people models, but I can't find any. I don't have the expiereance to model, and no time to learn now (I will learn and not always ask for 'spoon feeding', but the project is due really soon). Credit will be given for all models used. If anyone can help, PLEASE let me know. Thanks, Mark |

Hmmm. just my two cents here, but....modelling ppl is hard in general. animating them realisticly is VERY hard without MoCap. my suggestion would be using matted footage of ppl wearing roman clothes. put yer friends in front of a bluescreen. |

You could also steal clips from the Caesar II and III games made by Impression Games. |

Well... all I can think of to be reasonalbly successful is to find a poser (the program)site and download some of the models there, haven't visited such a site in ages, but I remember a roman soldier at one of them. Or try the usually (3dcafe etc) but these sites won't be nearly as helpful.... IMHOAnd character animation isn't too hard if you have character studio installed for your version of max, if you don't, then, good luck, it will take a lot longer! |

It was basically a joke, but if you are really pressed for Roman animations, I doubt anyone would fry your ass for using a couple vids from a game on a school project. Assuming you aren't planning to use this school project to make money |
