Attack of the Killer Rubber Thing: http://jove.prohosting.com/~raoul23/killer_rubber.avi (10MBs, DiVx)For slower connections, see the Realplayer version here (click on Attack of the Killer Rubber Thing in the clip list): http://www.earthnoise.com/channels/?channelid=6990 This is a re-release of a trailer I made 4 years ago for a contest at school. I remade the special effects (mainly color-keyed stop-motion animation) and sound, as well as tightened the pacing. But I have tried to keep it as close to the original as possible, so the changes are minor. I've never posted the original on the web anyway, so this will be your first look at it. I believe this to be my best work. ========================= For those that might have missed them, here are my other available clips: http://jove.prohosting.com/~raoul23/ale_wars.avi (Time-travel comedy trailer) http://jove.prohosting.com/~raoul23/matrix_small2.avi (Matrix-style trailer) http://jove.prohosting.com/~raoul23/stapler.avi (Silent comedy short) [This message has been edited by admiral (edited 10-15-2000).] |

Very good job. Nice filming. Everything is good except one thing: When the the detective and the girl are in the hiding place and the girl says that the "rubber thing" know they are there, he kind of smiles. The rest is excellent. |

hehehe Good trailer, only thing I noticed that is a bit off was the fact that you see too many of the characters die in it-what looks to be main characters, which doesn't do much for enticing viewers when they already know what happens. Sorta like if the trailer for say, Star Wars Ep 1 showed Qui-Gon being killed, gives away the ending ya know? I'm rambling..

I know about the main characters dying ... The first death one is the premise setup, so it makes sense in the trailer, but I agree that the rest is another thing altogether. But this trailer is not for a real movie, and it was filmed in about 2 hours. Ideally, I would've gotten some other extras to kill instead.BTW, the first half had been storyboarded; the 2nd half was completely improvised (dialogue and all). Oh, and the music is "borrowed" from the Cliffhanger soundtrack. [This message has been edited by admiral (edited 10-17-2000).] |

The fill download AVI is in the DiVx format, but for some reason, it may not play properly in Real Player. Gotta use Windows Media Player to view it. |
