Vision you are right about the shadow. I felt funny about it but now I know it could be better.Just revamped that part; improved motion tracking, shorter duration of apperance, and added some video noise so it blends in much better.
I feel that the nightshot look adds to the eerieness of the setting. It was completely pitch dark out there and nothing around us for a 1 1/2 miles in any direction.
The part where we here two noises in the corner really happened. Of course I added some additional sound effects but the clicks were real. So was the dog and whatever jumped out from that stairwell.
I found a old newspaper post on the net about the place. So, for any of you that are interested here is the history of the Factory:
The Factory was used to manufacture gunpowder and cartridge casings from 1860 to the middle of World War II. The Pennsylvania Railroad paralleled the factory, moving both people and goods to and from the bustling companies. Given the nature of the business, explosions weren't unusual.
However in 1890 a horrific accident occurred when a railroad freight car with 400 barrels of black powder collided into two carloads of nitrate of soda.
A terrific explosion occurred demolishing most of the employees living quarters and a shotgun shell storage facility. Reports tell that the explosion was heard up to 10 miles away.
Fires and explosions were said to have continued for nearly five hours. By one account 563 people and 7 children were killed. A accurate number was never reached due to the conditions of the bodies.
True story.
