If you had a choice between downloading a clip in the 2.2MB DivX .avi file or a 766k RealPlayer clip which whould you choose? (Both clips are the same content.)I'm trying to get a demographic here so I can decide what format to publish my clips in.  ------------------

I would definetely go for the bigger DiVx version, because of higher quality (I have a fast connection so the file size does not matter). People with a modem connection might prefer the Real Player version, though 2.2MB wouldn't take that long to download. Maybe you can upload both? Try free.prohosting.com for server space. |

I was thinking about posting both, but I'm running off of a web server that I pay for. If I exeed my bandwidth for the month my bill shoots up drasticly.What is the most common connection, 14k, 28k, 56k, 128k, ISDN, Cable, LAN? I would guess that most people would have 28k or 56k. I was also wondering if the person visiting my site would pass on viewing the clip if they had to install a new codec. ------------------

realplayer is trailer trash...literally.

DivX all the way man.. It's so much better. I've always hated RealPlayer, and I have often refused to look at trailers done with it.Muncher. ------------------
