I made a music video with some of my favorite kung fu action sequences (Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Classic 70's Kung Fu). Spent about a month matching up the music to the movements, check it out!

That's a great bit of editing. Sometimes people don't realize just how difficult rapid editing is. It's an artform in and of itself. Hey how about a little bibliography of the films you used? I recognize black mask and fist of legend... did I see once upon a time in china?

Awesome stuff! Great music and editing.

I think I also saw a little Drunken Master in there....could be seeing things, though.

Glad you guys liked it! Its hard to find anyone outside of the editing circle that realizes and appreciates how hard the work it is. But that makes it all the more fun to see the final project!

Let's see, here are the movies I used (I can't remember all the titles, sorry );

Fong Sai Yuk II
Fist of Legend
Black Mask
Drunken Master I
Drunken Tai-Chi
Once Upon a Time in China 5
Once Upon a Time in China 3
Shaolin Kids?

If you guys want specific info on who starred in what, just ask.

Excellent editing and cool music!!!

You have exactly the same tastes as I have!

If you haven't seen it yet, get Drunken Master II, the last fight sequence is best one I've ever seen!

I started off with just the music and started to play around with the footage. Seeing what clip worked best with the SFX in the song. The rest was simple, just throwing in kinetic energy video to keep the pace going!

Drunken Master II was awesome! The end fight scene is one of my favorites!

Doesn't it bug you guys that when they release a Hong-Kong flick here in the states they change the name and make it difficult to know if you have seen it or not?

Just rented Once upon a Time in China I on DVD and I am very pleased! They gave you choices of listening to the Cantonese, or Madarin soundtrack and left the Worthless english-dubbed sound as a completely separate version of the film. I hope they start making all of them like that! English-dubbed versions always change the meaning of the sayings and never have decent voice actors. I prefer to listen to the Mandarin sound (Sounds more pleasing than Cantonese I think) with english subtitles until I memorize them and then just watch the film without subtitles.

One more thing, Tsui Hark; The Chinese Steven Spielberg!

Yes it was excellent! I liked the ending fight too, but another good one to check out is the ending fight in The Young Master

YES!! Its worse though that they edit and dub the movie out of coherence. The worst thig about drunken master 2 was that they cut the ending scene (where chan acts retarded) I thought that was hilarious! It was the punchline of the whole film!

Yeah well tell that to Dimension films who ONLY relases dubbed dvds.

Well even he's had some turkeys..if you can get ahold of "We Are Going To Eat You" by Tsui Hark its one of the silliest movies I've ever seen. Well directed but goofy as hell. The plot is some secret agent goes to arrest this guy on an island full of cannibals and theres a weird subplot with a big horny transvestite. Its really gory too. Probably something Tsui Hark would rather forget.
