Here is the trailer for a "musicmentary" I am currently working on. Principal photography won't be over until the 18th of February so I used concert footage from a previous (smaller) concert.

Matt Blagg is a local recording artist who plays over 200 dates a year and sold 2,500 albumns last year.

If I get the editing done in time I might submit it to DIFF, however, I am concerned that my chances of getting in/winning will be greatly reduced since it is 4:3 instead of 16:9. The movie is going straight to VHS though so I didn't want to mess with it.

All of the trailer footage was shot with my NTSC Canon XL1. The concert will use a mix of the XL1 and my two 1 chip Sony Digital8s. Most of the footage is real life, but there are some staged shots along with an interview.

hahahaha, I went in thinking it was going to be a rock band or something, kinda caught me off guard, hehe.

But it was good none the less

Oh ya, I should have mentioned that about 180 concerts a year are at churches around the country. The rest he plays "devil" music. :-)
