Hi there,
I've been on this forum for a week or so, and thought I'd plug my own project here. www.raamw3rk.net
It's not finished yet, almost though. There will be a pre-premiere march 15th in Rotterdam. I haven't had much time to add to the website lately, because of hard work on the project.
I plan to put up trailers and inspired by thi website I think I will do some background info on the effects.
For now it's mainly a lot of stills, but thought you might want to check it out...
Thanks
For the last 1,5 years though, I've been pretty much on my own doing post-...
And sometimes that'll kill your motivation. I'm hanging in there though, and then it's nice to have some response like this.
I hope to supply you with moving images soon, not sure if the host performs well enough though.
Thanks for the response...

Where did you shoot all these scenes? What programs do you use? Where did you learn all that?
Honestly, looks awesome! Keep it up!
To answer some of your questions, it was made with practically no money at all, I could borrow the Sony VX1000 from the Art Institute I was graduating. Most of the scenes were filmed in an empty bank building where i could build my sets in the basement. Just a nutty project-developer who had no problem with me working in the building before they would start rebuilding it...
That was actually my lucky break. Other locations are in the port of Rotterdam, which has loads of rusty warehouses. i just drove around looking for nasty looking buildings and then tried to find out who owned it... But a lot of what you see are sets built from cardboard.
For the rest I edited in Premiere, then imported the scenes into After Effects, doing all kinds of effects and chromakeying, color adjustment, a little grain-reduction. I use 3D Studio MAX for 3D animations and all sorts of effects.
The basics of working with video, like how to build a scene in shots, I learned at the academy. But the reason I started this project in the first place was to learn...
So through just starting this insane venture of making a 45 min. scifi thing with no money, I learned the most.
I knew some Premiere and After Effects before, but this last year I've pretty much become a very heavy user... As for 3D animation, I had to learn this on-the-fly.
Of course, next time i'd do all this different, but I guess the best lessons are the ones you learn the hard way...
As soon as I had the premiere in 2 weeks, I'll try to put some moving images on. Busybusybusy....
