does anyone know what the difference is between digital8mm and miniDV? resolution wise? thanks.

I don't have a whole lot of experience with video, but I believe that might depend on what minidv and digital 8mm you would be comparing. My friend has a GL1, and the way she talks is the resolution is good. However, there could be a big difference with that and an $800 camera. Do you have any two specific cameras in mind? I'm sure someone can help ya out here, sorry I couldn't be of more.

It's near the end. Evidently there isn't much difference between the two, save their size and cost.
