I was talking with a Canon rep today and I brought up that I heard about the XL-2 (someone hear mentioned it) Well, he laughed. He had heard this rumor floating around too but he claims that it is a false rumor. He said that Canon has no such camera in developement.

I learned a few things from this man. The most important of which is that there is not much difference, aside from appearance, from the XL-1 and the GL-1 performance wise.

Aw gee, you had me all excited. I'd never heard any rumors abou the XL-2 in the first place.
A GL-2 would be nice... maybe. 'Course I can't even afford a GL-1, so who cares!

Hmm, I talked to a Canon rep at a computer expo, and he said that there IS a Canon XL-2 in development. However, as it's in development, he couldn't tell me about any changes or modifications.

Man why can't Canon just test their new camera's through this forum...we could try them out and make suggestions....It'd be worth it for them right?

That is a great idea, SFE.
I would love to "test" new cameras!
