On my last trip stateside I found these tiny glo-sticks, called "Party-lite" in a Record Town store. Now I'm back in the UK, but I need to order a bulk buy of the things, anyone got any ideas?

well, try sporting goods stores in with the fishing equipment or the frisbees, they have them there sometimes. costume/magic stores have them on occasion. you might also want to try military stores, the only one i know of over there is "silvermans"

what so you want to use them for, maybe we can suggest a substitute

They are needed for a friends re-enactment group, and we've been using the five or so I brought back to the UK on my last trip with great success. I'm actually hoping someone could give me the phone number or URL of a store that sells them in the US who will ship them over for me. However, all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure there is some place in the US that sells them. I don't know where since I have never bought any, but I have seen them. Have you tried at a nightclub? I've seen people selling them at nightclubs.

There are the fishing variety, as mentioned by crazy lou, they are commenly called "Lunker Lights", and can be found in any fishing store. www.cabelas.com carries lengths from 1 1/2" to 6". Just search for "Cyalume" and you'll be there.

Take a look at EL stuff if you don't mind buying batteries. i got some links up on the FX page. I dont know if it'd be of any use for your specific use. Heck if you want some i'd consider a trade some stuff that they sell over there, drop an email if you're interested

Thanks for the help guys. I'm also already using the ELF type lighting, but we need very tiny lightsources that could be spread across a woodland, without wires or batteries. So I'm hoping that our friendly raver will have helped out. It is either that, or trans-atlantic calls to the Record Town in Washington D.C. where I bought the last lot.

Cheers
