Well im thinking about givin up my gl-1 for a trv900, so i was doing a little research on the picture quality of each and well heres the deal. The gl-1 has 3 1/4 ccd, and 270k each, the trv has 500 lines of resolution, 3 1/4 ccd, and 380k each. What does this mean, it one better, the same, worse HELP!

K is thousand as in pixels, and remenber manufactures tend to fudge a little in their favor. I would bet in practical application their both about 280,000 pixels. I have a GY-500 with 1/2 in ccds and I only have 380,000 so don't fall for any hype |

check out this page about the GL1. There's pages listed there that compare the image quality, light sensitivity, etc. with the 900. If you ask me, i would still say the GL1 has superior image quality (despite the numbers), but anyway check this out: http://www.bealecorner.com/gl1/index.html |
