I have made skate videos for a while and recently realized that it would ne handy to have a fisheye lens. After some research I have found that Kenko make some of these lenses. I have a Sony CDR-TRV6 which has a filter length of 30mm. Would it be possibe to order a step up ring to 37mm and then attach one of thier wide ange lenses? If so which wide angle should I get? Thanks -Jamaal |

I have my own fish eye lense, but it's highly unorthodox. You may want to try it, because it's quite cheap (I'ma no-budget student, so for you it may be different). I went to the science department in my school and asked the head teacher if I could buy one of their fish-eye (concave or convex, I don't know) lenses that we used when we were studying light in year nine. They gladly gave it to me for a couple of bucks. I just tape it on to the lense of the camera whenever I need to a film through it. Of course it probably won't work with a camera like an XL-1 or whatever your using, but it fit perfectly over the lense of my little Panasonic Beast....------------------ I once had 509 posts...but now I don't. |

Yeah there probably is a converter that fits your needs. I have the Kenko KUW-042, and it's good. Most of my skater videomaker freinds have one, so I guess it's just right for the kind of videos you make. |

How long does the average skate video go anyway? I always see them and they always seem so very much the same...------------------ I once had 509 posts...but now I don't. |

The average that I have seen is around 30 to 45 min. The longest I know of is 1 1/2 hours. Thats a whole lot of skateboarding.-Jamaal |
