hey, im currently thinking of doing a film adaptation of E.A. Poe's "the Raven" and was wondering how i could go about getting a bird in the movie, i couldnt just go out and catch a wild bird, that wouldnt work. and i dont have the money to invest in a trainer. i would do it cgi, but i cant model very well, and im not sure of my animation skills yet. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Hey, long time no see!

Anyways...I'm somewhat clueless on how to really do what you want, short of just buying a bird from a local pet store. Then again, it would be hard to "train" the bird to do what you want to do anyways. Hm....

ive been thinking of doing it animatronically, i just need a good bird puppet that i can rig up. and i still need to know how to do the flying, i could probably just work out something with fast editing and dummy birds on wires, thats what hitchcock did in "the birds" (great dvd btw). so ill look into anim's and see what i can do. thanks for the help guys. oh and BJS, ive been lurking around here alot lately, not really posting much.
