1 dead 1 in crittical condition. a couple of kids in my hood were filming there movie and it called for one of the kids to shoot the 2 of them. with blanks. they wernt blanks there were still bits and pisses of metal objects in them so dont always trust blanks to be 100%

I'm sorry to hear that happened. It is a shme that people act without thinking. It unfortunantly happens a lot. I knew a stuntman that had to have wadding removed from his rump. The person that fired the weapon did not pay attention to the rules they had set up (don't fire at anyone within 20 feet). He was lucky it was just his rearend, that was injured, and his bluegeens that were damaged. It could have been a lot worse for him.

I'm very sorry that happened. I'm also glad you posted that information. I think it will bring the point that SAFTY FIRST is absolutly the way to go.

And folks wonder why safety is stressed around here...I really am sorry to hear that. Firearms are nothing to play with..I was always raised "if you don't plan to shoot it to kill it, don't point the gun at it." That's maybe why I never have put guns in my projects...sabers and fists are bad enough =) Anyway, this is certainly a warning for everyone...

Wait a minute, the kid shot twice? I'm not even going to speculate what was going through his brain, but *twice*? yeesh...

Give a man a match and he'll be warm for an hour; set him on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

folks...thats why we spend 40 bucks on a harmless non-firing replica, or a bb gun (unloaded of course). with the wonderful looking fx we can now do using filmstrips and photoshop, whats the point of even ATTEMPTING to use the real thing? good lord...i guarantee to u guys that ANY of my rotoscoped gunflares shows up TEN TIMES better than any blank-firing gun a couple of kids attempt to video tape. do u know that in hollywood, guns that are used in movies usually are modified in SO many ways just to produce a more elaborate and flarey (no pun intended) muzzle flame.

I'm sorry to hear that......Weren't they thinking about safety? I would have rather use a cheesy looking gun in my movie and have the whole thing suck than kill a good friend....how old were they...Sorry to hear that....
