I think it might be called a jib arm or something.

I recently purchased some high powered tools, and now I want to make stuff. Anything else cool to make?

I've been to that site before, but I found the instructions confusing. Thanks anyway.

Oh yeah, what's your e-mail address Crazy Lou?

I am actually putting the finishing touches on a homemade crane. Most of the materials I used were straight out of the hardware store, but I did use one piece that had to be welded. If you have access to welding equipment and a tripod, tell me and I'll try to post my plans. Or, if you have some time to wait, I plan on posting a complete tutorial on how I made my short movie. It will encompass make-up, computer fx, lighting and sound as well as how to make your own dollie and crane. I'll tell how much it cost me as well as how long it took to make all the arrangements and equipment. Stay tuned.

Cool, I don't have any welding equipment, but I do have a tripod. Is the welding part easy to do? If you E-mail me the instuctions, I could post them on my web site.
