Hi! I am currently working on a movie called Crippled Ninja. In the final showdown Ninja (the main character) is confronted by a mysterious cloned albino-ninja called White Shadow Tiger. And here is the problem:

WST is, somehow, going to fly over Ninja and kick with his legs (in classic Wong Fei-Hung OUATIC-style no-shadow-leg) while Ninja is sitting in his wheelchair.

So, I need some help from people who have done this kind of wire-effects. What you need, how to build the stuff and so on..

Thanks on forehand (?)

(sorry for my bad english, i am a swede) :-)

People dont seem to like wires here. People die with them.

Very strange, I am working on a wheelchair ninja comedy as well. I hope it doesn't offend anyone, but I am not aiming for an offensive style, more of a defensive one. That's really odd that we are both doing the same type of project, or is it? Are ninjas in wheelchairs commonplace in the comedy side of the movie-making world? Please don't take offense, these ninjas are only temporarily impaired.

there are a lot of professional martial arts movies about crippled warriors.
"One Armed Swordsman" is a good one, i think.
In fact, there is a kung fu for crippled people. (there is a kung fu style for every type of person, really)

HOOP!!! Hey!! Are you serious?? If you are, then it's really ****ing odd. I mean, I tought I was being really originaly when I came up with the idea... Damn, well, maybe we can send the movies to each other when they are done :-) . I actually got inspiration to the film by looking at all those kung fu-flicks with crippled people and I tought a crippled ninja would be really kewl (or something)

Well, well... Anyhow, no-one knows how to do wire-effects? Please?

The best advice is to just sit down and think it out.

All times are ET (US)
