1. Does anyone know of an anamorpic lense for the GL1?2. Could you use Premiere to squeese an anamorphic image into a letterboxed image for a 4:3 tv? |

I was reading a review of the GL1 today and it said that the GL1 did not support interchangeable lenses. being one of the 2 weaknesses they said the camera had, the other being no audio level control. |

No interchangable lenses like the XL1, but you can use wide angle adapters with it. Please check out the post entitled "Does anyone have a Canon GL1".[This message has been edited by ZIMZAM (edited 02-04-2000).] |

I'm pretty sure Century Optics offers some nice anamorphic lenses. They're digital quality, so they'll probably cost upward of $300. Be sure to get one that will fit the GL1's filter diameter (58mm), step down rings just don't work for anamorphic lenses. |

I believe you could "squeese" the image to fit 4:3 TV. You could use the crop filter. |
