I have a tweleve shot(compared to six or eight) cap gun revolver. Has a twelve shot revolver ever really exsisted? If they have then great, I'll use as is. If not, I'll find a way to limit the gun shots.

Thanks

i dont think so, but if you watch any movie that has someone using a revolver they can manage to squeeze out 20 shots before reloading.

I can't ever recall having seen a 12 revolver ever, and I'm pretty good with firearms. I shoot a lot of real steel including full auto. If you're trying to simulate a something more powerful than a .22, which would have the only chance in hell of having a 12-shot cylinder, then blow off half the caps leaving six behind. Something that will help you fake the recoil is going to a gun range and observing others (if you can't yourself) firing handguns. Remember that the recoil is sharp and fast, and that unless you're shooting an absolute cannon (I'm talking .357 +P or greater), then most of the recoil is in the wrists. There's very little movement of the forearms rotating up from the elbows. On the other hand, if you're shooting .454 Casull or .475 Linebaugh, you're lucky if you don't brain yourself with the gun when you fire it

Best,
Jesse
