I just got a copy of 3DMax and was fiddling around with the biped feature when I wanted to make something that wasn't wireframe. So I did some research and there are these things called NURBS. I was wondering if anyone knew where to download these, or how to make them. Thanks

If you want to use NURBS, get Rino3d its the best NURBS editor around.
you can get a free evaluation copy of it from http://www.rhino3d.com
You can export to MAX.

It's the full version, but it is limited to 25 saves. If you cant afford it, you can get a crack for it.
But you didn't hear that from me.

Nurbs are standard in 3D Studio Max 2.5
When you select to draw splines, if you pull down there is the option to draw nurbs. Or you could collapse the stack and turn it into NURBS. However they arent the greatest way to model in 3DS. If you have it try surface tools. NURBS in 3DS tend to take up a ton of memmory and slow down your computer. Supposedly they improved them in Max 3.

Thanks, I'm downloading Rhino's demo as I write, and just as a thought, couldn't you save 25 times and then download it again? Then you could load your last save onto it.

Sometimes reinstalling the software will work to crack the time/save limit. It depends on how well they programmed it in. Many of the retail ones will save it somewhere on the computer so reinstalling won't work. It won't be in the registry, it isn't in an INI file, so they hide it pretty well.

I finished downloading the software and I was using it. It is sooo hard to figure out. Maybe I'm just technilogically impared but it's virtually (no pun intended) impossible. Is anyone here able to create 3D skins or NURBS?
