You know how the "digitaly remastered" the original star wars? How did they do that? Better yet, how can i do somthing similar to that? I have a project i would like to do, and it would involve, maybe, digitally remastering it an older film.
Thanks

Im not sure what you want to do...?

with SW they took the original film reals, and with a great deal of effort, cleaned the film in a special chemical bath. they also added in new digital fades, wipes. Then they added in CG stuff to enhance it.

They also added Dolby Digital Sound (THX or whatever).

Well how could i enhance the quality of a film on VHS? Is there anyway? Or would i have to get it on 35 and do the chemical thing?

Not really. Basicly "digitally remastered" is just an advertising scheme. Of course they had to rewash the film, it was 20 years old. They added some CG and sound, that's about it. When people hear "digitally remastered," they think, "Gosh, if I don't see it again, I'll be missing something, even though I already saw it 26 times." It's all about advertising.
