K wassup
I'm doing a commercial for racism, and what I want to happen is that for the whole beginning, there is a little pack of skittles (which is in colour) and everything else is in B&W. Then the colour slowly spreads to everything. I know one way to do this but if I did it this way, it would spread in a box shape and I dont want that, I want it to spread smoothly. Please help quick, it's gotta be postmarked by the 11th and we still have to film and edit.
Peace,
RaZoR

You're doing a commercial FOR racism? What, you live in South Africa?

Anyway, an easy (but slow) way to do this is export to Photoshop if you have it, any other decent retouch program if not, and if you want more color Skittles every 1 second, just go every 30 frames and decrease the size of a desaturation layer you've put over the original. This will be much harder if you've recorded in B&W, because you'll have to put color IN instead of taking it out, so I hope not. Then just flatten your image and import it back, and there you go. Sorry if this sounds cryptic, but I can't think too well right now.
