A quick word on fireballs. Obviously there is no step-by step here.Posted by Mike Walling on Monday, 26 January 1998, at 12:37 a.m., in response to

FIREBALLS: Can be any size you want it all depands on the amount of fuel used in the effect some
fuel bombs can range in size from a 1/2 gal., 3 gal. and up to 55 gal. gas and aviation fuel are two
types of fuel used but they all produce a very black smoke and will stick to what ever it touches.
LIFTER: A lifter is the secondary charge this is to lift the fuel out of the mortar and in to the air
mixing oxygen with the fuel creating a fireball. A lfter is made out of black powder and can range is
size from 2 oz. up to 2lb. and is classified as high explosives by B.A.T.F. SQUIB: is a small primary
detonator charge that sets off the secondary charge igniting the lifter and the lifter blows the number
3 charge the fuel. And there you have it a fireball.
