What kind of music would fit a scene where two janitors are having philosophical conversations (about life/death, happiness, etc)? Anything from classic to alternative (except rap, r&b and metal) JUST GIVE ME NAMES! ------------------ european-horror@e-Groups.com |

In this situation, ambient music might be more appropriate. Something soft playing in the background. I have seen a number of movies where little or no music was used for the most part, and it can really give more meaning to a scene to simply leave music out. Music can add emotion where it is needed, but just see how well you can do your scene without. I dare say that if all your scenes need music, there's something lacking in your direction.Isaiah ------------------ Isaiah, "Sound Guy" Eyre www.iEyre.com |

Hilarious. not.
I'm Doubting your judgement. Please work on it. Disagree civilly -"I'm joking" isn't a coverall excuse when you have a record of shooting your mouth off.

Ok, ok first i'll clear up things. The music isn't for the entire scene. It's a sequence where they start talking, then their voices fades out and the music fades in. After, We only hear the music (While seeing them doing their work and talking--but no voices). Then the music fades out and we hear them talk again.I was only wondering what kind of music would be appropriate here. Instrumental or vocal? Something slow or with lots of rythm? These kind of things. It's funny because as im' writing this im' listening to Beethoven's 9th Symphony(redone by Wendy Carlos on A Clockwork Orange soundtrack). Keep em' coming! ------------------ european-horror@e-Groups.com |

In Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon there is an interesting piece of music that accompanies the scene where Barry first hits on Lady Lyndon. It might fit. I'm pretty sure it's public domain but you would have to get some musicians to record it for you. |
