Hey Sarge,
Sorry if personalized posts arent allowed but I think your the only one who can answer my question.

In this post-

You mention that you own a AT835b and an AT815b, and that the AT815b has an acceptance angle of about 60 degrees with an 8 foot range and that the AT835b has an acceptance angle of 45 degrees with a 20 foot range. When I look at audio technica's website, and look at each microphone's stats-it appears that it is the opposite of what you said.

Please take a look at this specification page on the AT815b

I haven't seen Sarge on the boards in months.. is he still around?

Anyway, chances are, that if the Audio-Technica website contradicts specifications indicated by Sarge, the AT site is going to be more accurate.

Hang on - Sarge is around again. If he sees this he'll respond. If in doubt E-Mail him directly. Do a search on his name in any of the "usual" forums and you'll find some of his posts. Then check his E-Mail and send him a note. I'm sure he'd be glad to help - though I don't really know that for sure. But if he sees this he'll respond. According to him he's been busy with a project but is going to try to get on more soon.
