Anybody have recommendations on a good, small, cheap, audio mixer? I need one just for doing wireless mic work and plugging it in to my sony cam. Thanks

Go to www.fullcompass.com and get a catalog. I think Azden and Samson make some small portable wireless mixers made just for camcorders. I haven't used any, but if you look around and find something you think looks good, let me know and I'll tell you what I think.

midiman makes a six channel high impediance mixer for $79; you can get it at the stores Guitar Center or Mars for two; probably more and/or off internet.

If you just want something to use between your mics and a camera, you could go with a Beachtek XLR adapter. It has inputs for two XLR mics, with a gain knob for each that will go into the 1/8 in slot in your camcorder. They don't really have much "mixing" quality, but can attach right to your camera (the tripod screw at the bottom, there is a hole at the bottom of the adapter to put it on the tripod) and get the audio in there.
