I'm trying to make a short Si-Fi movie that has some of the effects that are seen in Star Trek. If any one knows how to make the Transproter, and phaser effects work please let me know. The tools that I am using are After Effects 3.1 and Premier 5.0. Thank you |

Well im guessing in adobe premire i know how to make some one teleport (disapear) shoot the shot with them there where u want them to teleport, then shott a some footage of the same scene without the actor (dont move the camera) and uese the disolve transition in premire to add the togeather.

thank's SI, I hope you can tell me how to do the beginning on the effect when the beam comes over the actor and then you see an after glow. Kinda like glitter. If anybody knows how to do that please write me back soon. |

I think I remember hearing once that they poured glitter into a glass of water, swirled it around, then shot through that onto a white screen. Key out the white and superimpose over the "beam". |
