I'm going to be doing a shot in my color digital movie where a load of blood, along with a blood-soaked stocking cap, splash the side of a van. What I want is for the cap to hit the van, stick there for a frame, then slowly ooze down to the ground. The question is what can I use to make the blood that is A:thick enough to look good on camera B:be easy to clean off the van and clothes & C: Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!
Thanks to all

Simple, stick to your standard blood recipe.
Clear Karo Syrup, Red, Yellow, and Blue (if the clotting look is needed) food coloring. If you don't want it to stain anything be sure to coat that surface with petroleum jelly.

Just a reminder,
in real life blood isn't that thick. It wouldn't stick. I can understand if you are taking creative license in that by making it stick(just about every director does that). I just thought I would remind you so that thought would be in mind. Rember to add maybe 2 tbls of water and heat the blood up for about 20-25 sec. This should make it so the blood fill flow and splash yet still be as thick as you want.

Also add 1/2 tsp of zinc oxide powder for every one pint of cornsyrup. It makes it look less like cornsyrup and more like blood.
