2 recipies for a new style of blood (cheap too)1. get yourself a big jug of ULTRA TIDE LIQUID DETERGENT (should be a light pink shade liquid) and add red food coloring (ONLY RED) it should turn out thick and red, when you put it on cement it will stay red, very real looking. (on skin too) 2. START BY ADDING 5 PARTS CORN SYRUP ADD 3 PARTS DIAL HANDSOAP MIX IN 2- 1/2 PARTS ELMERS WHITE SCHOOL GLUE. <YOU SHOULD GET A GEL-LIKE GREY GOO> ADD RED FOOD COLORING !ONLY RED! TILL' YOU GET A PURE RED GEL-LIKE GOO. SINCE ARTISTS DIS-AGREE ON THE DARKNESS OF BLOOD, ADD DARK MOLASIS AND SIO SAUCE UNTILL IT'S DARK ENOUGH. !seal this up tight cuz it can kinda dry out!

Unless you add a little bit of yellow the blood won't be the right color. when blood is smeared into thin amounts it has a little orange tinge. Also fresh blood isn't very dark. This is just a hint. I'm not saying the stuff won't work. I'm just helping you make it look more real.

did u try it? trust me it works. in the gel, the molasis makes it right, the tide is already a weird tint so it has the right color

Are you SURE it is the right color? Have you had experience with REAL blood? Do you know the real color of blood in every form? I will try these recipes as soon as I can. I'm just not sure you know exactly what real blood is like in all forms. Not critising or anything. Almost everyone hes trouble with it. I did at first but as I saw more I understood the texture and color of blood more.

Ouch! well if it helps you find the right color/texture and it doesn't seriously hurt you then that's good. I will definetly be using your recipes in the future. Thanks.

Just yesterday, I tried my first time at making fake blood. I didn't have any money to spend, but had lots of various kitchen things. I took a bunch of ketchup and mixed it into hot water. This made it thick enough, but too light. I took some Soy sauce and put it in, but it didn't work too well. I then put grape jelly in, warmed it all up, and mixed it around. This made it just the right color. Unfortunately, it didn't produce too much, and for what I was filming, I had to put it in my mouth (dead guy w/ blood coming out of mouth scene). It was easily the nastiest thing I ever tasted, and I almost vomited. I'm going with Karo Syrup next time!
