Making a movie and need a good recipe for some realistic looking blood. It doesn't have to flow perfectly, just need some simple ideas.

there is always the CORNSYRUP blood, use KARO clear corn syrup, add red, yellow and SMALL AMOUNT OF BLUE to the mix. I developed and use TIDE ultra clothing detergent, add ONLY RED, or maybee .000001 ddrop of blue. it is tinted, so NO yellow. i also made a NEW GEL BLOOD, reply if u want the recipe

Hydro, does that Tide Ultra recipe clean up pretty easily or does it still stain?

Do you know if the Tide blood, is okay to use on skin, will it causes red spots or something like that? I tried one, V8 juice with Quick chocolate syrup, it's actually good.

i have used it before, it left a minimal coloration, like when u smack ur hand on somthing type of red, but i used a ton of red in it that time. i specifivly used NO bleach tide when i made this stuff, it works. (yes i do keep emphisizing i created it, i don't know if for the first time in the world, but i'm happy with it, and kinda like to have ppl. know i am not just another special effects guy, and that i came up with a couple of original things

Corn syrup is no fun to get on you/get off you. I think I'll try your tide method HYDRO. peeling off a corn-syrupy shirt took some skin off my chest...... Hmm maybe some water, food coloring and gelatin might work?

i recently found a good SQUIB blood. use PALMOLIVE dish washing stuff, it's a thick gloop with junks and smells bad, tinted yellow. well anyway, mix in some red and a .000001 drop of blue, and there u go, it should come out in globs instead of mist.
