How could I incorporate the revolving head in "The Exorcist" for my parody. I have
mannequins, if those can be used.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but if you're asking on how to do a revolving head then here goes. I don't know how you plan on shooting it, but you could just put a mannaquien head (good spelling, huh) on a wooden dowel and just spin it using a close-up. Or you could just do a couple of takes and if you want along shot just break off the head on the mannaquien from the bady, dress the body and incorporate the dowel thing.

Try this, no effects, just cutting:

Start with a Close up on you head spinning protagonist. On action, the actor turns his/her head as far as he/she can to the left.

Cut to: reverse shot of the actor, with shirt, jacket, pyjammas (whatever) on backwards. Actor turns head from the extreme right to the extreme left.

Cut to: original close-up. Actor moves head from extreme right to centre.

I think this was done in the old Chevy Chase movie "Modern Problems", but I may be wrong. It would save big bucks and time rigging effects anyway. Plus it may be funnier than a mannekin's noggin spinning around. Maybe. What do you think?
