Has anyone seen the matrix? I was just wondering how hard it would be to make a simple system to raise someone like they did.

Thanks

i would imagine that building a simple system like that would be simple. you should be able to buy just about everything at a home depot, builders square type store.

from what i saw of the behind the scenes stuff, it looked like a basic gymnastic safety/training system. try visiting your local library or gymnastic center to get a better look at one.

as with anything home built you'll want to build it stronger then you would thingk necessary. if you do build it, test it with something other then a person until you sure its safe

good luck

do what crazy lou said. try to get a book from the library. or you could buy the supplies and pay someone to make it. if you don't wanna spend so much money, ask for one of your friend's help or something.

there's a book called SPECIAL EFFECTS by Jake Hamilton that has a picture of a rig like that. It'd probably give you some ideas of how it was done. Not that I'm saying it's a great idea to try it yourself.

Try going to a local park and look at the swing sets. You can buy gas pipe and connectors make sure u cement this set up in the ground atleast 3 feet for safety sake and test the rig with something twice as heavy as the person using it. also use pipe large enough not to bow under this weight...this set up can also be used for many things afterwards if nothing else a great swing set...hehe...scottyrdover@mailexcite.com
